The candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the August 15 Osun governorship election, Bola Oyebamiji, has assured voters that he is a God-fearing man who will not betray the trust of the electorate if elected.

Oyebamiji gave the assurance on Sunday during an engagement with members of the Nigerian Society of Professional Tailors in Osogbo, where he reiterated his commitment to delivering on his campaign promises.

He said his seven-point agenda, recently unveiled for public scrutiny, was designed to drive development and improve the welfare of residents across Osun State.

The APC candidate, who was represented at the event by the Chairman of Civic Engagement of the APC Campaign Council, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, described his manifesto as a carefully structured development blueprint.

According to him, the agenda—codenamed “PROSPER”—focuses on poverty alleviation, workers’ welfare, job creation, transparency, economic growth, security, education, and infrastructure renewal.

“I want to assure you again that I will not betray your trust if you give me your votes. I am contesting to serve you with all my strength, and I will not disappoint you,” he said.

Oyebamiji added that his policies were grounded in integrity and sincerity, stressing that they would be fully implemented if elected governor.

He also highlighted plans to support small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), noting that artisans such as tailors would benefit from targeted economic empowerment programmes under his administration.

“You are men and women of high calibre, and your contribution to the state’s economy cannot be overemphasised. One of my agenda pillars focuses on economic growth and SME support,” he said.

The APC candidate urged voters to disregard what he described as negative campaigns against him, insisting that the opposition was unsettled by the unveiling of his development agenda.

“Since unveiling my agenda, members of the opposition are already intimidated and confused. I put my trust in God and in you,” he said.

He appealed for support ahead of the election, pledging to implement his manifesto faithfully if elected.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the association, Mr Rasheed Balogun, commended Oyebamiji for his engagement with the group and expressed confidence in his ability to deliver on his promises, assuring him of their support at the polls.
