Hallelujah! Hallelujah! 

Christ is risen.  Today is Easter Sunday when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ after the crucifixion and burial.

The Holy Bible records show that Jesus died on the cross on Friday and rose from the dead the third day.  

Brethren, Easter is very significant in Christianity.  It is a confirmation that we are serving a living God.

The resurrection confirms that Jesus remains alive.

Our Lord Jesus in a conversation with Mary whose brother Lazarus had died and laid in the grave for four days, said to Mary, John 11 vs. 25 ( KJV): “ Jesus said to  unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live”.

Brethren, with particular reference to his crucifixion  and resurrection  Jesus  told his disciples about the events  a number of times.

Matthew 16 vs. 21: “ From that time forth began  Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go into Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, be raised again the third day”.

Brethren,  challenges were placed on the path of resurrection by people like you and I but the will of God and word of Jesus that he would rise on the third day still came to pass.

What were the challenges? The answer is found in Matthew 27 vs. 64 and 66: “ Command therefore that the sepulcher be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples  come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the  dead: so that the last error should be worse than the first”.

 Verse 66: So they went, and made the sepulcher sure, sealing the  stone and setting a watch”.

Brethren, the same way, some people may have placed a stone on a person’s destiny to ensure he or she is never fulfilled. These are not physical stones but spiritual stones.

 Not only do they  place the stone for example,  to  stop a person from getting married, or place a stone on her womb so that conception would never take place.

For others, the stone could be to keep the person stagnated in life.   Such a person would work hard but would never be comfortable let alone being rich.

The forces that place such stones act like those that placed the stone at the tomb of Jesus. They also watch how effective the stone is.

This is when we talk of monitoring spirits.

How do you explain that a woman gets married, she takes in but at a particular month, she suffers a miscarriage and this happens repeatedly.

In the case of the particular woman I refer to here, she would have a dream about the fourth month and once she has that dream, the pregnancy is aborted.

Brethren, my prayer for you is that every stone that has been rolled against your destiny would be rolled away by the power of resurrection in Jesus name.

Those that rolled the stone against the tomb  of Jesus did so to prevent his word from being fulfilled.

Matthew 28 vs.2 tells us what happened to the stone that was rolled to  prevent the resurrection of Christ.

“ And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended  from heaven, and came and rolled  back the stone from the door, and sat upon it”.

Brethren, whatever may be that challenge that you have been unable to overcome despite all human efforts, the power of God  will roll it away for you in Jesus name.

You don’t need to wear mournful looks because of a challenge, just remain fixed to Jesus and see what the Lord can do.

The Bible records the attitude of the tomb gate keepers when they saw the angel .

Verse 4: “ And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men”.

Those asked to watch over the tomb and became lifeless. Fear gripped them. They went into coma.   A greater power has overcome their physical power. They couldn’t even converse with the angel.

In the same manner, as the Lord lifts you above challenges, your adversaries would be dumbfounded in Jesus name.

At this time, some women had gone to the tomb   where they met and had a discussion with the angel.

Verses  5-7: “ And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know  that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.  Come , see the place where the Lord lay.

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you”.

Beloved, they thought the disciples would steal his body but the disciples were not   anywhere   the tomb,  so,  God gave them no room to lie that the disciples stole his body.

The angel said, “ He is not here: for he is risen, as he said”.

Brethren, the word of God would be fulfilled in your life if only you cling to Jesus  in faith.

Let’s bear in mind that there is no greater challenge than death.

Whatever is the challenge,  as long as  your are alive, you can overcome with the help of God.

Bible scholars  said when Jesus said on the cross “ It is finished”, it means that God has given us the power  to overcome any challenge.

However, you must bear in mind that what   you tolerate would remain with you for as long as you tolerate it.

Brethren, believe me , Christ has risen above sickness, poverty, barrenness,  financial stagnation, loneliness or whatever you have been unable to handle physically.

It doesn’t matter what stone has been rolled against you or you have inadvertently  rolled against yourself, the  Holy Spirit is available to roll the stone away.

The power from above is available for those who trust in the Lord.

Brethren, Jesus was betrayed, he was mocked, he was beaten, he suffered humiliation but in the end, he rose above all and remains alive .

As you plug yourself into the power of resurrection, be confident that the challenge with which you are  well known  would  give way to celebration..

Beloved, Jesus lives that is why  you can speak with the Lord and get answers.

Challenges make us sing  songs of lamentation but testimonies are present  songs of Hallelujah!, songs of praise.

Challenges have expiry date but the victim must also work towards its expiration. Failure to work against it could make it a permanent feature in one’s life.

The Blood of Jesus shed on the cross of Calvary was shed to set you free from frustration, pains, worries etc.

Therefore, you have a duty to plead the Blood of Jesus on whatever  makes you not to be fulfilled.

Jesus that shed His blood lives and is ready to hear you and answer you.

We have an assurance in Psalm 50 vs. 14 &15: “Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High.

And call upon me in the day of trouble, I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me”.

Jesus is risen above all challenges.
