Gunmen allegedly kill Ebonyi Majority leader’s Police orderlies


The Commissioner of Police in Imo State, Aboki Danjuma, has launched a manhunt for the killers of two policemen attached to the majority leader of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Kingsley Ikoro, representing Afikpo North- West.
The CP who spoke through the command’s mouthpiece, Henry Okoye, on Monday, in a telephone conversation with DAILY POST warned that there is no hiding place for the killers of the cops.
He disclosed that policemen were already combing bushes around the scene of the crime with a plot to apprehend the suspects and make them face the full consequences for their unlawful action.
Some gunmen had on Sunday, ambushed the two policemen and killed them at the Okigwe axis of the Road in Okigwe local government Area of Imo State.
The policemen were stationed there after one of the vehicles the majority leader and his team were traveling in developed a mechanical fault.
While the other vehicles continued the journey, the two policemen stayed by, only to be ambushed and killed thereafter.
Okoye, informed the the bodies of the cops who payed the supreme price have been evacuated to a morgue, while investigations have begun by the police.
