Gov Uba Sani appoints new MD for Kaduna radio

Following the elevation of the former Managing Director of Kaduna State Media Corporation, KSMC, Alhaji Ahmed Maiyaki, to Commissioner for Information, Governor Uba Sani has appointed Ben Solomon Dalhatu Kure as the Managing Director of KSMC.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa, on Sunday, the Governor Sani said that Ben Kure is expected to build on “Maiyaki’s excellent work, which has transformed the media corporation into a strategic vehicle for effective public information dissemination and management.’’

The statement described the new MD of Kaduna Radio as a public communication expert and political strategist, who will bring “to his new assignment his wealth of experience in various fields, including public service and banking.’’

The Chief Press Secretary said that Ben Kure had earlier served as Chairman of Jaba Local Government from 2016 to 2017, Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency from 2018 to 2019, and Special Adviser (Political Matters) to the Kaduna State Governor from 2019 to 2021.’’

Before his foray into politics, the statement said, the new MD of Kaduna Radio was “Branch Manager of Oceanic Bank PLC/ECOBANK Nigeria PLC from 2010 to 2012, Team Leader, Zenith Bank PLC from 2005 to 2006, and Team Leader (Public Sector), Broad Bank from 2003 to 2004.’’

“Mr Ben Kure holds a Master’s in Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies, and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geography and Planning. He is a Corporate Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, and a Member, The Institute of Management Consultants,’’ Malam Ibraheem added.
