FORMER Minister of Communications, Maj. Gen. Tajudeen Olanrewaju (retd), has expressed condolences to the family of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, over the death of their mother, Umma.

Olanrewaju, in a statement by his media office, sympathised with Bashir el-Rufai, describing him as a close associate during his tenure at the Ministry of Communications.

He commiserated with the entire el-Rufai family, noting that the “loss of a mother is deeply painful”, but urged them to take solace in the impactful life she lived.

He praised both brothers for their contributions to national development, stating that their accomplishments reflect the values instilled in them by their late mother.

According to him, the brothers have distinguished themselves as exemplary Nigerians, adding that their “leadership qualities stand as a testament to the upbringing and influence of their mother.”

The retired General also offered prayers for the repose of her soul, asking Allah to “forgive her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus.”
