Every home has a God-fearing ‘baddie’ – Kiitan Bukola
By Ayo Onikoyi
Nollywood actress and producer Kiitan Bukola has spoken about the inspiration behind her new film God-Fearing Baddie, while also reflecting on her personal lifestyle and spiritual identity.
Speaking about how she is perceived by people who do not know her closely, she told Potpourri
“I am a prayer warrior; I pray a lot. Most people who don’t know me don’t understand the kind of person I am. Sometimes, once a week, I fast and pray. I don’t need anyone to tell me.”
She also drew a contrast between her spiritual life and her outward appearance:
“When you see me outside, you see a baddie. It inspired me to reflect on the fact that it’s not just about tying a scarf; it’s about having a pure heart beyond religious outfits.”
On the role of faith in her personal growth, she added:
“Prayer and having a pure heart have helped me a lot. They have helped me grow.”
Explaining the concept behind her latest project, she said:“It’s a movie you would relate to. Every home has a God-fearing baddie. We need to understand such people and their personalities rather than trying to change them.”
The film God-Fearing Baddie features Kiitan Bukola alongside Eddie Watson, Apakufor, and other cast members.
