EPL: ‘Guardiola is gone’ – Carragher names team to win title this season
Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has named the team to win the Premier League title this season.
Arsenal won the English top-flight league last season ahead of Manchester City and Manchester United.
However, Carragher believes Arsenal will come up short in their attempts to defend the Premier League title this season.
The former England international named Man City to win the Premier League title despite Pep Guardiola’s departure from the Cityzens.
“I think City,” Carragher said on the Football Ramble podcast when asked to name the team to win the Premier League title this season.
“The reason I think City is that I think they were still close last year. I know Pep’s gone, I get that.
“When you have had the same manager for ten years, the flip side of what people will say is that it’s hard to come after him.
“Just something a little bit new. I think if Rodri left for Real Madrid, then I would not be saying that, but in terms of where they are right now.”
