Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has congratulated Muslims across the state on the successful completion of Ramadan and the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Abdullahi Idris Zuru, the governor praised the people’s dedication to prayers and sacrifices during the holy month. He also commended their resilience and support for his administration’s programs in education, infrastructure, agriculture, and economic empowerment.
Highlighting recent initiatives, Governor Idris noted that the distribution of Ramadan palliatives and dry season farming inputs was more extensive than in previous years, reflecting his administration’s commitment to timely intervention.
On security, he reassured residents of continued support for security agencies and training of volunteer youths. “Hundreds of youth volunteers are being trained by a combined team from the military, police, State Security Service, and Nigerian Civil Defence Corps to support security efforts,” he said.
The governor expressed gratitude to traditional rulers, Islamic scholars, APC stakeholders, civil servants, and NGOs for their cooperation in advancing the state’s development agenda. He reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining developmental programs and announced plans for additional initiatives to improve the well-being of Kebbi residents.
