EFCC operatives raid MKO Abiola Stadium, Obasanjo library, arrest youths

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have reportedly stormed the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, to arrest some youths suspected to be internet fraudsters.

DAILY POST gathered that EFCC operatives carried out the raid on Sunday morning during a Wet & Rave Splash Extravaganza party held at the OOPL, Rounda fun spot.

A viral video showed how some youths scampered for safety during the night raid.

The operatives reportedly arrested a number of youths and seized “more than 20 luxury cars and other valuable items.”

Sources said operation was carried out by the EFCC operatives from the Lagos Directorate.

The Managing Director of OOPL Ventures, Vitalis Ortese confirmed the incident but he did not provide details.

He said , “Yes, they did. There was an incident this morning. We will find out and we will let you know.”

When contacted, the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, promised to confirm and get back to our correspondent.

DAILY POST reported that the Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had on Wednesday arrested a suspected internet fraudster alongside 55 others at K- Hotel in Itori, Ewekoro area of the state.

The raid according to the agency followed reliable intelligence on the suspect’s alleged fraudulent and criminal activities.

Items recovered include two locally- made pistols, six posh cars, 89 mobile phones, laptops and several incriminating documents.
