Don’t commercialise your PVC – Osun APC guber candidate tells electorates

OSOGBO – The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the August 15 poll in Osun State, Mr Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, has called on the electorate not to commercialise their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs, but use them to elect him as Governor of Osun State come August 15 for the development of the state.

Speaking during a meeting with the leadership and Members of Ansar-u-Deen Society in Osogbo on Sunday, he said the PVC is a document that confers the right on individuals to participate and decide who presides over their affairs for a stipulated period.

While emphasising the need to make the right choice for the state’s progress, he also assured the people that a vote for him will accelerate growth and development within the shortest possible time.

“The PVC is a document that confers right on each person to have a say in deciding who leads or preside over their affairs for a stipulated period. I am appealing to our people not to commercialise their PVC but to use it wisely to vote for someone who has the capacity and potential to lead appropriately.

“I am assuring you all that once you vote for me, we will immediately return the state to the path of growth and development. It is in our manifesto the way we will lead you and the state to enviable heights among comity of states in the federation”, he said.

He also tasked the clerics and the congregation to pray that peace reign supreme before, during and after the election, asserting that no one’s blood is worth spilling for the election.

“I urged you as  congregation, especially religious leaders, to continue to pray for peace and talk to our people to allow peace to reign before and after the election in the State; nobody should be killed for the sake of the election.

“Our people, including politicians, should be pleased to allow peace, so that our people can throng to the polling units to vote for the progress and development of Osun State”, he added.
