DisCos generate N205.53bn revenue in July –NERC

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) said on Friday that  Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) collected  ₦205.53 billion out of N250.79 billion billed customers.

The commission disclosed this in its latest Commercial Performance Factsheet released on its X handle in Abuja.

The report showed that DisCos received N333.94 billion worth of energy during the month of July.

It said that out of the N333.94 energy received, N250.79 billion was billed customers out of which N205, 53 billion was collected.

The report said that Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKDC)  led the revenue collection with   94.67 per cent followed by Port Harcourt  DisCo with 84.95 per cent, while Benin  DisCo came third with  79.15 per cent

It also said that Kaduna DisCo recorded the lowest recovery efficiency at 39.71 per cent, followed by Jos DisCo at 46.27 per cent while  Kano recorded 55.41 per cent
