Afrobeats star Davido has unveiled plans for a major music event in the UK, announcing his first-ever curated festival in London, scheduled for August 14, 2026, at the iconic Crystal Palace Bowl.

The 5ive singer confirmed that the show will be his only outdoor performance in the city this summer.

Taking to social media to break the news, the Grammy-nominated artiste wrote: “For the first time ever I present to you… Davido & Friends Festival. It’s going down at Crystal Palace Bowl on August 14th. Sign up for first access.”

He also announced ticket details, adding, “Pre-sale 26 March 10am GMT Gen-sale 27 March 10am GMT.”

Unlike a typical concert, the event will see Davido not only headline but also curate the full lineup, a move that has sparked anticipation among fans. The “& Friends” concept has further fueled speculation about possible guest appearances, although the singer has yet to reveal who will join him on stage.

The festival forms part of the broader “Palace Bowl Presents” series, a new run of shows scheduled between July 31 and August 16 at the historic venue.

Other global acts, including Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Kirk Franklin, are already billed to headline earlier dates in the series.

The choice of venue adds significance to the announcement. Established in 1961, the Crystal Palace Bowl is one of London’s most renowned open-air arenas, with a capacity of about 15,000 and a legacy of hosting major international acts. Davido’s booking positions him among a select group of global performers to headline the stage.

The announcement comes amid a strong run for the Nigerian superstar. His fifth studio album, 5ive, released in 2025, received widespread acclaim, with standout tracks gaining global traction and reinforcing his influence in the Afrobeats movement.
