Christmas: Governor Bago urges love, faith, hope for better 2026

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has sent warm Christmas greetings to Christians in the state and across the world as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

In his Christmas and New Year message, issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor said the Christmas season is a special time for reflection.

He noted that the celebration reminds people of the importance of love, humility, kindness, and hope.

Governor Bago encouraged Christians to use the period to strengthen their faith in God and to continue praying for peace and progress in Niger State and Nigeria as a whole.

Speaking ahead of the New Year, the governor called on all residents of the state to renew their trust in God, remain positive, and show greater commitment to their duties as responsible citizens.

He assured the people that “the administration remains fully committed to providing good governance in line with the New Niger agenda.”

The governor expressed strong optimism that 2026 would be a rewarding year for the state.

According to him, his government is focused on breaking new ground and implementing policies that will bring lasting benefits of democracy and speed up social and economic development.

While wishing the people a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year, Governor Bago also appealed to residents to stay security-conscious.

He urged them to promptly report any suspicious persons or activities to the relevant security agencies.
