Cherubim & Seraphim’s Spiritual Father Emmanuel Alogbo dies at 93

The Spiritual Father of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, His Most Eminence, Prophet Emmanuel Alogbo, is dead. He was 93.

The church announced his passing in a statement on Thursday, by its Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye, saying the revered cleric died peacefully at about 2:10 a.m. on Thursday at his residence in Lagos.

According to the statement, Prophet Alogbo was surrounded by members of his family and domestic staff at the time of his death.

“With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire church, I write to inform you all that our Spiritual Father was called to glory in the early hours of today, July 30, 2026, at about 2:10 a.m.,” the statement read.

The church described the late prophet as a devoted servant of God whose life was marked by unwavering commitment to the Christian faith and service to humanity.

It noted that his leadership spanned several decades, during which he oversaw the spiritual growth and expansion of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide in Nigeria and across the diaspora, earning him recognition as one of the country’s longest-serving church leaders.

The church announced that prayer sessions would be held daily for seven days from 5 p.m. at his residence located at Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos.

It added that funeral arrangements would be announced in due course, while calling on members to remain steadfast in faith and prayer during the period of mourning.

“May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant the church the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement added.
