NASARAWA — Three youths from Migil community in Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State were reportedly killed by suspected bandits, despite government threats to deal decisively with perpetrators.
The incident occurred along Gidan-Raid Road when the youths were on an errand to deliver news of the death of an elder statesman to family members in a neighboring community.
The attack follows a recent night raid in Sarkin Noma, a nearby community, where two youths were killed and another abducted and still in the custody of the kidnappers.
The escalating attacks have left residents fearful and many appealing for stronger intervention, with some calling on international attention to address the insecurity.
The three victims, who hailed from Duduguru in the Jenkwe development area, were laid to rest in a mass burial on Tuesday morning in their hometown.
