Bandits attack Zamfara mosque, kill worshippers

Armed bandits on Friday attacked a mosque in Yandoto community, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing five worshippers and abducting several others.
The incident was contained in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Friday.
According to Makama, the attack happened during dawn prayers around 5:00 a.m. when the gunmen stormed the mosque and opened fire on the congregation.
Some of the worshippers were taken away into the forest.
Community members later offered funeral prayers for the victims, describing them as devoted Muslims who were always present at the mosque.
