APC Convention: Open your eyes to Tinubu’s achievements, Yari’s Group tells opposition

ABUJA — The RenewedHope Network (TRN), a group founded by former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has urged opposition figures to set aside criticism and take note of what it described as the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The group made the call on Friday night at Eagle Square, Abuja, during the National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking with journalists at a solidarity rally held alongside the convention, the leader of TRN’s technical committee, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi, said the group mobilised thousands of supporters to demonstrate backing for the president and to highlight what it considers progress under his administration.

He also cautioned Nigerians against what he described as misinformation and negative narratives about the president, urging the public to assess government policies and programmes objectively.

“We call on opposition figures and those who feel aggrieved to take a closer look at the ongoing reforms and their impact. As the nation prepares for the 2027 elections, Nigerians should critically evaluate information in the public space,” he said.

Ogenyi added that the increasing number of political figures joining the APC reflects growing support for the party’s direction, noting that several governors and politicians have aligned with the ruling party in recent times.

On governance, he cited improvements in areas such as security, education financing, and economic management, including initiatives aimed at supporting students and efforts to stabilise key sectors of the economy.

He said members of the RenewedHope Network would continue to mobilise support for the administration and engage citizens on its policies and programmes.
