ABUJA — The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election as Governor of Ekiti State, describing his victory as “historic” and “epic.”

In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party said Oyebanji’s re-election marks the first time an incumbent governor has secured a second term in the state’s contemporary democratic history.

The APC said the outcome reflects the strong confidence of Ekiti people in his leadership, describing it as a validation of his “people-centered policies” and commitment to development.

It also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and other stakeholders for what it described as a professional and well-conducted electoral process.

The party further praised residents of Ekiti State for their peaceful conduct and active participation during the election, noting their continued support for the APC and its progressive agenda.

APC expressed optimism that Oyebanji’s second term would bring further development and improved living standards, adding that his administration would deepen the gains of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the state.
