Anambra Govt awards N43.64bn contracts for strategic projects

Awka – The Anambra State Executive Council has approved contracts worth ₦43,636,992,491 for key infrastructure projects across the state aimed at improving citizens’ welfare and stimulating economic growth.
The major project is the dualization of the Ekwulobia–Ufuma Road, including a bridge, awarded to Lebtech Construction Ltd at a cost of ₦37.95 billion. Government described the project as a significant infrastructure milestone that will boost connectivity and drive development.
Also approved were:
Construction of Adili/Park Road with a spur to the Building Materials Market, Nnewi, awarded to Ferrotex Construction Company for ₦1.40 billion.
School Road with interlocking pavement stones at Iyiowa Odekpe, Ogbaru LGA, awarded to Roadways Nig. Ltd for ₦2.23 billion.
External works at the VIP Lounge, Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri, awarded to Gill Associates Ltd for ₦172 million.
Supply and installation of VIP Lounge furniture at the airport, awarded to Gold Coast Shelters Ltd for ₦157.73 million.
Rehabilitation and asphaltic overlay of the internal premises of the State Civil Service Commission, Awka, awarded at ₦147 million.
Marking of stop lines, pedestrian crosswalks, and yellow box traps on all traffic light junctions across the state, awarded to Navigator Sign Ltd for ₦124.9 million.
Construction of playground, volleyball and tennis courts, external works, and associated structures at the Ekwulobia Stadium Complex, awarded to M.O. & C Int’l Ltd for ₦927 million.
Supply and installation of medical equipment at the General Hospital, Enugwu-Otu Aguleri, awarded to Minek Multi-Care Nig. Ltd for ₦346.56 million.
Construction of a two-suspended-floor, six-classroom block at Awada Secondary School, Obosi, Idemili North LGA, awarded to Conifer Kunstruction (Nig.) Ltd for ₦174.35 million.
Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, said after the State Executive Council meeting that the projects are strategically selected to improve infrastructure, enhance living standards, and attract fresh investments to Anambra.
He stressed that new projects would continue to be awarded based on strategic and economic significance, rather than political considerations, and emphasized that the Soludo administration remains committed to completing projects without accumulating contractor debts.
