Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has congratulated his Ekiti State counterpart, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on his re-election for a second term, describing the outcome as a strong endorsement of his leadership.

Aiyedatiwa also felicitated Prof. Dayo Faduyile on his victory in the Ondo South Senatorial bye-election, commending voters for their participation in the electoral process.

In a statement on Sunday, the governor said Oyebanji’s re-election reflected the confidence Ekiti people have in his “purposeful leadership and people-oriented policies.”

He said the renewed mandate was a confirmation of achievements recorded under the Ekiti governor in infrastructure development, economic growth, social welfare, and good governance.

“The victory reflects the confidence and trust reposed in him by the people of Ekiti State,” Aiyedatiwa stated.

He expressed optimism that Oyebanji would build on his first-term achievements and further advance development in the state, while also assuring him of continued collaboration in promoting growth across the South-West.

On the Ondo South senatorial election, Aiyedatiwa described Faduyile’s victory as a reflection of the trust reposed in him by constituents, noting that his background in medicine, academia, and public service had prepared him for effective representation.

He urged the senator-elect to work with stakeholders to promote development in the district.

The governor also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and voters for what he described as a peaceful and credible electoral process, while calling for continued unity in the interest of regional progress.
