ADC: You’re jumping around looking for presidential ticket – Wike mocks Atiku

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike on Monday said the African Democratic Congress, ADC, is not a coalition.
Wike made the remark while accusing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of jumping from one political party to another in search of presidential ticket.
The minister spoke during his monthly media chat in Abuja on Monday.
He also stated that with the current arrangement of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku can’t would not have been its presidential candidate in 2027.
Wike said, “How is ADC a coalition? How is it a coalition? These are people that all their political history they have been known for decamping from one party to another, so every political period you do coalition.
“If you say some people have joined ADC, it’s okay because this is not the first time they have joined new parties. It’s in their bloodstream that this is what they are going to do.
“Atiku was in PDP in 1999 under Obasanjo and he later joined AC. After AC he came back to PDP and moved again to APC, from there he came back to PDP again just to get presidential ticket every time. From PDP he has gone to ADC.
“If I’m his son I will sit him down and say ‘dad, for whatever it’s worth how can you tell me that you have made this history of jumping from one party to another till you are almost 70 years, how?
“Rescue what? Who has sank? You were VP for eight years, the chairman of the National Economic Council. So what happened? You are moving from one party to another does not mean coalition.
“Some people left other parties and joined PDP, some left PDP and joined APC, some left APC because of one interest or the other. What are you joining the coalition for? What’s to rescue?
“The way the PDP is now he can’t get the presidential ticket so he goes and join the coalition.”
