Abducted woman regains freedom, another kidnapped in Benue

A woman who was previously kidnapped in Benue State has regained her freedom and reunited with her family, even as gunmen abducted another resident in a separate attack in Buruku Local Government Area.
The development was contained in a post shared on X on Tuesday by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
According to the post, the released victim, Orika Orji, was freed by her captors and safely returned to her relatives, while efforts continue to identify those responsible for her abduction.
In a separate incident on Tuesday, at around 3:00 a.m., suspected gunmen abducted a resident, Michael Igwe Ngene, from his home in Ugbema community.
The attackers also took his ash-coloured Toyota Corolla LE, registration number RSH 75 Abuja, which was later found abandoned along the road and recovered.
Makama added that a joint security and local protection team visited the scene shortly after the incident and have begun a manhunt for the perpetrators, with efforts ongoing to locate and rescue the victim.
