Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says 41 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive at Lagos ports from March 10 to March 16.
The NPA disclosed this on its daily “Shipping Position” publication made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Lagos.
The authority said the ships were expected at the Apapa, Tin Can Island and Lekki Deep ports.
It added that 17 of the expected ships would berth with containers of different goods, while 24 would berth with bulk urea, crude oil, petrol, fresh fish, bitumen, crude palm oil, and bulk gypsum.
NPA also noted that eight ships and tankers have arrived at the three ports, awaiting berthing for petrol, general cargo, bulk urea, bulk fertiliser, and containers.
It stated that 22 ships are presently discharging bulk wheat, general cargo, bulk urea, bulk salt, bulk sugar, fresh fish, bulk gypsum and containers with different goods at the three ports.
