The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) in Ondo State, has commended the economic reforms of President Bola Tinubu, noting that they’re already yielding visible results.
Ondo State Coordinator of the group, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, said that stating that the administration’s policies under the Renewed Hope Agenda are already yielding visible results.
Olabimtan said that the Tinubu administration met a struggling economy burdened by deficits and fiscal challenges, but has since taken deliberate steps to stabilise the system and reposition it for growth.
He declared that “the government’s proactive and long-term policy approach marks a clear departure from the reactionary style of previous administrations, such strategic planning is beginning to address complex economic realities.
He said that the early phase of the reforms came with difficulties for Nigerians but insisted that the situation is improving steadily.
The coordinator who pointed out that meaningful reforms often require sacrifice, appealed to Nigerians to remain patient and supportive as the government continues to implement its policies.
While noting that the country may not yet be where it ought to be, he maintained that there has been noticeable progress compared to the past, expressing optimism that conditions will continue to improve.
Olabimtan said “The takeoff was tough, but things are gradually getting better. It is time to begin to focus on the gains and build on them” he said
He described the RHA as a key mobilisation platform aimed at strengthening grassroots support for the administration, adding that ongoing developments have made its engagement efforts easier and more impactful.
The coordinator declared that the group has unveiled a strategic plan in Ondo state to engage communities, boost grassroots support, and reinforce public confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Olabimtan who said that the initiative goes beyond mere advocacy, described it as a structured political engagement platform aimed at shaping narratives and strengthening democratic participation.
He noted that the RHA was established to counter misinformation and ensure that the policies and achievements of the Tinubu administration are clearly communicated to citizens, particularly at the grassroots.
The group, Olabimtan said, “would play a strategic role in aligning political messaging across the All Progressives Congress (APC) structure in the state, from leadership at the top to ward-level operatives, with a focus on consistency and clarity.
He said the political objective of the RHA includes mobilising support for government policies, strengthening party unity, and building a reliable feedback system between the people and the federal government.
He said “The greatest disservice in politics is to allow opponents to define your narrative. This platform is designed to ensure that the truth about government policies is told by those who understand it.
“The RHA is simply here to straighten the narratives and lay the cards open for all to see and know the truth about the Tinubu-led administration.
“The core objective of the RHA revolves around disseminating honest information from the federal government to Nigerians and taking direct feedback from the grassroots back to the federal government as well.
According to him ” the RHA is a nationwide initiative aimed at educating Nigerians about the federal government’s reforms and opportunities outlined in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“This outreach program seeks to enhance public awareness regarding the ongoing government interventions, ensuring that all Nigerians are well-informed about the opportunities accessible to them.”
He added that the group would engage directly with communities through town halls, market outreaches, and stakeholder interactions, ensuring that political communication is people-centred and issue-based.
“Although the group would, until embargo on election campaign is lifted, for now commence grassroots enlightenment of the people of the state on the programmes of President Tinubu.
Olabimtan further noted that the RHA is part of a broader nationwide political mobilisation effort, with the Southwest zonal structure led by Senator Dayo Adeyeye, aimed at consolidating support for the Renewed Hope Agenda.
While acknowledging the initial challenges that accompanied ongoing reforms, he maintained that the administration has adopted a proactive governance style focused on long-term stability and growth, urging members to highlight emerging gains in their engagements.
He also expressed appreciation to the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for backing the initiative, describing the support as crucial to its success at the state level.
Olabimtan said the RHA will deploy 25 canvassers in each of the over 3,000 polling units in the state, with each canvasser expected to mobilise at least five voters.
He noted that the canvassers would be supported through a structured engagement plan, saying that “this election will be won at the polling units, not at the ward or state level,”
The coordinator expressed confidence in improved electoral transparency, stressing that enhanced vote transmission would limit manipulation, while dismissing opposition criticism as distractions.
Olabimtan reaffirmed that the RHA will also strengthen grassroots communication and support structures within the All Progressives Congress (APC) as part of efforts to consolidate political gains in the state.
While charging members to begin immediate mobilisation, the Coordinator, emphasised that the RHA’s effectiveness would be measured by its ability to connect with voters, influence public perception, and translate government policies into political goodwill.
He declared that ” the inauguration marks the formal entry of the RHA into Ondo’s political landscape, as the group positions itself as a key driver of grassroots political communication ahead of future electoral contests.
