2027: APC members defect to ADC in Sokoto

Several members of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, in Gada local government area of Sokoto State have defected to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
They said the decision was informed by alleged non-performance of the APC government at all levels in the country.
Senator Abubakar Gada, who officially received the defectors, stated that the development is part of a broader coalition aimed at salvaging the country from poor governance to a brighter future.
Gada stated that the growing discontent with APC leadership had driven more people to identify themselves with the ADC in a bid to ensure meaningful change of governance in the country.
According to him, Nigerians are determined to liberate themselves.
He expressed concern over the deteriorating security situation in Sokoto East, noting that the situation has led to loss of lives, severely impacted agricultural activities and contributed to rising poverty, unemployment, and hunger in the region.
Stating that no society can thrive without security, he stressed that the coalition is committed to restoring peace and stability to all Nigerians, regardless of their location and affiliation.
“It is God who gives power, not the machinery of the state,” he added.
