BIRNIN KEBBI — Three personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) were reportedly killed in an attack along the Tsamiya–Illo road in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State at the weekend.

The deceased were identified as DCRMA Umar Aliyu, SRMA Ezra Manu Gona and RMA I Mansur Ibrahim Nasir.

According to local sources, the officers were on official duty when the incident occurred.

A resident who spoke to journalists claimed that armed men intercepted the officers along the route. The account could not be independently verified as of the time of filing this report.

The source further alleged that the attackers fled the area after the incident.

Residents also expressed concern over recurring security incidents in parts of Bagudo Local Government Area, particularly around the Tsamiya axis.

Some community members claimed that security personnel operating in the area have faced repeated attacks in recent times. However, official figures regarding such incidents were not immediately available.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the Kebbi State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps nor other relevant security agencies had issued an official statement on the reported killings.

Efforts to reach the FRSC Public Relations Officer for confirmation and comment were unsuccessful.
