Obanikoro chairs new Kwara APC gov primary committee

Former Minister and APC chieftain from Lagos State, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, has been named the new chairman of the Kwara APC Governorship Primary Election Committee.

Obanikoro spoke with journalists in Ilorin Thursday evening after he held a meeting with the aspirants.

The discussion with the aspirants at the APC Secretariat focused on arrangements for the rescheduled primary election.

Senator Obanikoro said the primary election was suspended due to logistical challenges.

He, however, assured party members that all necessary arrangements have been concluded for a fresh primary election to be held across the 193 wards of the state on Friday.

Recall that the state chapter of the party had earlier announced the suspension of the exercise midway through the process Thursday afternoon.
