A Kano State High Court sitting at Court No. 7, presided over by Justice Amina Adamu, has ordered the remand of one Aminu Ismail, from Ganbai village in Ajingi Local Government Area, at a correctional facility over the alleged murder of his father, Dahiru Ahmad.

Reports indicate that a heated argument erupted between Aminu and his father after the latter reportedly stopped him from taking a second wife — a dispute that allegedly led to the father’s death.

The prosecuting counsel, Barrister Lamido Abba Sorondinki, presented the charge against the defendant in court. However, Aminu pleaded not guilty to the allegation.

After hearing submissions from both sides, Justice Amina Adamu adjourned the case to November 13, 2025, for the commencement of trial and presentation of witnesses.
