Popular Nigerian content creator Ademola Abiodun, also known as DJ Chicken, has stirred reactions on social media after describing Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, as ‘daddy’ shortly after regaining his freedom.

The entertainer, who was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, also shared a photo of Seyi Tinubu on his Instagram Stories with the caption: “Hmm ddddy.”

He has also changed his Instagram display picture to one of Seyi.

DJ Chicken was released on Tuesday after spending nearly two weeks in prison.

Announcing his freedom in a video on social media, the content creator who was seen with his lawyer said “I’m back oo, freedom at last.”

“God bless the Nigerian government, God bless Seyi Tinubu, and our president. I love you guys. It is not easy, my fans. People that are free don’t know what God has done for them. Freedom is good”, he said.

He was arraigned on a three-count charge bordering on alleged violations of the Cybercrimes Act, breach of peace and making alleged threats to kill Seyi Tinubu.

The charges stemmed from a viral video in which DJ Chicken allegedly claimed that President Bola Tinubu would not win re-election in 2027 and was accused of making threats against the President’s son.

Following widespread criticism over the video, the content creator withdrew the remarks, explaining that they were intended as a joke to gain attention and increase his online popularity.

Despite the apology, he was arrested and brought before the court.
