‘As I’m dancing, I’m working’ – Gov Adeleke replies critics
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has defended his frequent dancing at public events, saying his love for dancing does not affect his responsibilities as governor.
Adeleke stated this in a post shared on his official social media page while responding to criticism over his habit of dancing at public events.
Adeleke said dancing was part of his family’s way of life, insisting that it does not affect his duties as governor.
“I dance because in my family, we are jolly good fellows,” Adeleke said.
He said there was “time for everything”, including dancing and work, stressing that his dancing does not prevent him from performing his responsibilities.
“As I am dancing, I am working. There is time for everything, there is time to dance and there is time to work,” he stated.
Adeleke further dismissed the suggestion that his dancing affects his performance as governor, saying he had delivered projects and programmes across different sectors.
“Dancing does not stop me from working. I have delivered across all sectors,” he said.
