Adeleke dissolves, reconstitutes UNIOSUN governing council

OSOGBO — Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has dissolved the Governing Council of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) and immediately reconstituted it to strengthen the institution’s governance structure.
In a statement issued on Friday by the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke said the reconstitution was aimed at ensuring continuity and avoiding any gap in the administration of the university.
The governor retained Prof. Adewale Oladipo as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council.
The new council is expected to be inaugurated on Monday.
Other members of the Governing Council are Alhaji Gbadegesin Lawal; Otunba Titi Laoye-Ponnle; Mr Akinola Franklin Omoniyi; Chief Funminiyi Awotide; Mr Orija Samuel Adebayo; and Mrs Adewale Adetayo Bola.
Adeleke charged the new council to sustain the university’s achievements and support the management in delivering further innovations and improving the institution’s academic and administrative standards.
