JALINGO — The Igbo Community Association (ICA), Jalingo Branch, has endorsed Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, for a second term ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The endorsement was conveyed in a letter signed by the association’s President-General, Deacon Michael C. Adili, and presented to the Dr. Agbu Kefas Re-election Campaign Council.
Adili commended the governor’s administration for its efforts in security, education and infrastructure development across the state.
He said improvements in the security situation had created a more conducive environment for businesses and residents.
“It will interest you to know that this decision did not only come from our mouths but also from our hearts.
“Before you took over the leadership of this state, many residents faced serious security challenges. We have observed improvements in the security situation under your administration,” he said.
The association also praised the state’s free education policy, saying it had eased the financial burden on many parents and guardians.
It further commended the ongoing road construction and rehabilitation projects in Jalingo and other parts of the state, noting that improved road infrastructure had enhanced transportation and economic activities.
The ICA pledged to mobilise its members to participate in the ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) registration exercise and support the governor’s re-election bid.
Responding, the Director-General of the Dr. Agbu Kefas Re-election Campaign Council, Hon. Danladi Baido, thanked the association for its endorsement and support.
Baido conveyed the governor’s appreciation to the association and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and continued development across Taraba State.
